Financial Performance
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY AND OUTCOMES
December 2018
Dear ESD Families and Friends,
ESD strives to achieve the best possible balance between program breadth and affordability. We understand full well the high cost of a quality college preparatory education and the need to operate efficiently. We have wonderful facilities and maintain them well. We have great teachers and staff and support them fully. And we have great families and appreciate their partnership with the school.
The Episcopal School of Dallas, Together We Will Comprehensive Campaign is already having a significant impact as the Endowment Trust grows and funds dedicated to constructing the new Lower School accumulate. Net Endowment per Student, an important gauge of financial strength, reached an all-time high of $7,583 this year. Thank you for your support.
We are blessed with great leadership at ESD, including the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Trustees of the Endowment Trust. These individuals spend considerable time reviewing the operating results of the school and the trust’s investments.
Our professionals continue to find innovative and efficient ways to improve the safety, availability, and functionality of the many aspects of our campus. Upon our solid foundation of sustainability and fiscal responsibility, ESD will continue to achieve its mission: to prepare young men and women for lives of intellectual discovery, integrity, and purpose.
Sincerely,
Robert A. Buchholz
